1. Article 1 (Country’s Copyright)
   The usage (e.g. making a copy, a public transmission, and an adaptation (e.g. translation and modification) of any work, whose copyright is owned by the country, shall be subject to the Creative Commons License (hereinafter “CC License”) Attribution 2.1 Japan (which refers to the copyright license prescribed at http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.1/jp/legalcode) that is stated in the resource_license_id column within the metadata in each resource. It shall be noted, however, that any numerical data as well as any data in simple tables, graphs and so forth shall not be subject to the copyright. Accordingly, even in the case where a CC License statement is included in the resource_license_id column, these Object Data in such resource may be used freely and the CC License does not apply.
2. Article 2 (Third Party Rights)
   There are cases where a third party owns the copyright and other rights over some Object Data. The permission to use (i) any part, copyright of which is owned by a third party, or (ii) any Object Data, over which a third party holds any right other than the copyright (e.g. portrait rights or publicity rights for photographs, etc.) shall be obtained from such third party at the responsibility of the user, unless indicated that the permission to use has already been obtained. Please note that, in principle, we do not specify or indicate any part in the Object Data, right of which is owned by a third party. (In the case where it is clear that the entire resource is the work of a third party, we indicate as such in the copyright column within the metadata in the resource.)
3. Article 3 (No Warranty)
   We will not provide any guarantee for the content of the Object Data in terms of their accuracy, completeness and fitness for specific purposes. We shall not be liable for any loss caused by using the Object Data.
4. Article 4 (Terms of Use of Other Sites)
   In the case where the Object Data are also published on any other site of the government, and the terms of use of such site (which refer to the conditions of use established for such site separately from the legal conditions of use of the Object Data) are different from the terms of use of this site, the terms of use of this site shall prevail.
5. Article 5 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
   The interpretation of the terms of use of this site shall be governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute arising from the terms of use of this site and the usage of the Object Data, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the district court, having jurisdiction over the location of an organization stated in the publisher column within the metadata in the data-set of the Object Data concerning such dispute.
6. (Points to be noted in the usage)
   • Even in the case of using any Object Data such as numerical data, data in simple tables or graphs and so forth, to which the CC License is not applicable, please display the data source ((1) the name of an organization that is stated in the Author column within the metadata in the data-set; (2) the name of resource in the resource; and (3) the URL in the resource, in which the Object Data to be used are included). Furthermore, in order for us to know the status of usage and so forth, we would appreciate if you could inform the administrator of this site.
